I often get asked how I ended up becoming a pediatric dentist. Well, the truth is, it was always my first career choice, as you can see from my childhood picture. Growing up with a father who is a pediatric dentist, I chose my future career at the age of three.
In kindergarten, my teacher asked the class what we wanted to be when we grew up. Confidently, I stood up and told the class I wanted to be a pediatric dentist like my dad. I know everyone has an opinion of the “perfect” career. But for me, this was it. Following in my father's footsteps, I became a pediatric dentist and even worked side-by-side with my father for five years after completing my education.
Pediatric Dentistry is my passion and I enjoy providing children with happy dental visits every day. I am proud to provide North Port and its surrounding areas with state-of-the-art pediatric dental care.
Education
I attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, for college and dental school. Then, I applied and was accepted to the top-rated Medical College of Virginia Pediatric Dental Residency, where I became the first pediatric dental resident to ever receive both a Master's in Science and a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. Upon returning to Florida, I worked side-by-side with my father/mentor in Tampa, FL.

Pediatric dentistry and orthodontics are constantly evolving, exciting fields. Away From the Office
I enjoy volunteering in charity dental clinics, such as Dentistry From the Heart, and the Mission of Mercy Project. I have participated in the University of Florida Dental School mission to the Dominican Republic to work with indigenous people with no access to dental care. I have also helped at the Special Olympics by making the athlete's mouthguards. I feel blessed to have been given a skill that can help people who are suffering from tooth pain. I believe “to those who have received a lot, a lot is expected,” and I try to live my life accordingly.
